Repeat Prescriptions

pillsRepeat prescriptions can be given by agreement with your doctor for some long-term treatments. However from time to time you will be requested to see a doctor for a review of your medication. Repeat prescriptions may be obtained by dropping a completed request slip into the surgery or sending it by post (please enclose a stamped addressed envelope if needing to be posted back). Prescription requests over the telephone are not accepted except in some exceptional circumstances. A post box is located on the outside wall of the surgery via the car park for patients to post prescription requests at any time day or night.

If you use a local Chemist to collect and deliver your prescription you must make your request to us in the usual way and then inform the Chemist of your choice that your prescription will be available for collection 48 hours later.

Please allow 48 hours notice to enable repeat prescriptions to be prepared for your collection. Also please note that prescriptions left on Friday afternoon will not be available for collection until after 4.00 pm on Tuesday.
