Opening Times

Doctors see patients in the morning and early evening, together with a lunchtime surgery each day. Due to the changing rota of Doctor duties and the Nurse Prescriber please ask at the reception for the surgery times for the doctor you wish to see.

The practice also employs doctors and pharmacists from Salford Primary Care Trust from time to time to carry out additional surgeries for registered patients and consulting times are available on request from the receptionist.

The reception staff are available to answer your queries either over the telephone or in person from 8.00 am to  6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Appointments

An appointment system is in operation and patients can pre-book to see the doctor of their choice by making an appointment with the Receptionist up to four weeks in advance. This can be made by telephone, calling into the surgery or sending a message. We also have a new automated booking system called ' Patient Partner' that can be accessed by telephone at any time of the day, to book, cancel or check an appointment. All other appointments are available on a day-to-day basis and patients should telephone the surgery on the day they require the appointment to check availability.

Please note, one patient per appointment.

Urgent cases will be accommodated in order of their priority. The Nurse Prescriber runs a  bookable minor ailments surgery 4 days of the week for patients to attend the surgery for acute problems only (not ongoing problems).  This new service  provides patients with better access to appointments.

Patients who arrive late for their appointment may have to rebook for another day and time.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 12pm if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
